PROJECT SPOTLIGHT / PHYSICIAN WEBSITE

A physician’s website, rebuilt after a hack and built to be hers.

Dr. Stephanie Moore is a transplant cardiologist, educator and speaker. When her previous website was compromised, she needed more than a cleanup: a professional home for her biography, her career, her speaking and consulting work, and the new content she is publishing. We rebuilt it from the identity up, and launched it on September 17, 2026.

A FRESH START AFTER A COMPROMISED WEBSITE

Recover the name. Then give it a home worth finding.

A hacked website does two kinds of damage. The obvious kind is the spam that shows up under your name in Google. The quieter kind is that the site people finally reach says nothing about who you are now. Dr. Moore’s project had to fix both.

So the rebuild started with identity, not plugins. A serif name treatment, a restrained gold MD and a fine gold rule became the signature. Navy, warm cream and gold carry it through the navigation, the content sections, the buttons and the downloadable materials, so a PDF handed to a producer looks like the website it came from.

Client-approved portrait photography gives the site a personal center. Generous spacing and editorial typography let the content breathe, and the structure lets a journalist, an event organizer and a reader of her heart-health writing each take a useful next step without reading the whole site first.

THE WORK, AS BUILT

Exact screens, not mockups.

These are direct browser captures of the live site at 1440 and 390 pixels. Nothing redrawn, nothing staged.

WHAT WE BUILT

The work, piece by piece.

An editorial identity

Serif name, gold MD, a fine gold rule, and a navy, cream and gold palette applied consistently from the header to the media kit.

Seven pages with clear jobs

Home, About, Education and Experience, Achievements, Services, Connect and Contact, each written for a specific visitor and a specific next step.

Professional downloads

A professional biography, a curriculum vitae and a media kit as tagged, searchable PDFs, laid out to match the site.

Media, speaking and consulting paths

Direct email and a booking calendar for professional conversations, with plain language that these are not patient appointments.

A Connect page that tells the truth

Substack and YouTube are live and linked. The podcast and the book are listed as on the way, not as released.

Recovery and launch work

Legacy URLs redirected, known spam URLs answered with a 410 Gone, login locked to the edge, backups on a schedule, sitemap and analytics in place on launch night.

DESKTOP, DETAIL, PHONE

Built for every screen it will meet.

THE RESULT

A unified professional presence, and a cleaner foundation.

Dr. Moore now has one website that introduces her, holds her career in order, hands media and organizers what they need, and points readers to the work she is publishing. The identity is hers, the content is organized, and the site behaves like a professional site should on a desk and on a phone.

Search cleanup from the earlier compromise is a separate, ongoing process, and this page does not claim ranking, traffic or inquiry gains. What it claims is the delivered website and the launch work behind it.

IN ONE LINE

The physician and the person, on the same page.

A site that makes room for both: the experience, and the person communicating that experience to a wider audience.

WHAT WAS DONE, IN DETAIL

Six decisions that shaped the site.

ONE / IDENTITY

A signature, not a template.

The name is set in a serif with the MD in gold, followed by a fine gold rule. That small system repeats on every page, on the PDFs and in the email signature, so everything Dr. Moore hands someone reads as one body of work.

Warm cream backgrounds and navy type keep the site calm and legible. Gold is reserved for emphasis and for the calls to action.

TWO / STRUCTURE

Seven pages, each with a defined role.

About introduces Dr. Moore in her own voice and puts the biography and CV one click away. Education and Experience and Achievements give her 25-year career the space it needs: training, appointments, board certifications, awards and national service, in order.

Services explains media, speaking and consulting without turning the site into a patient intake portal. Connect and Contact do exactly what their names say.

THREE / PROFESSIONAL RESOURCES

Downloads a producer can actually use.

The professional biography, the curriculum vitae and the media kit were laid out as proper PDFs: tagged, searchable, US Letter, with correct titles and clickable email and website links. They carry the same identity as the site.

They live on the About and Services pages, where a journalist or an event organizer would look for them.

FOUR / THE RIGHT KIND OF CONTACT

Professional inquiries, clearly separated from patient care.

Contact offers direct email and a booking calendar for media, speaking and consulting. The page says in plain words that these calls are not patient appointments and that no medical or personal health information should be sent through the site.

That sentence protects the physician and the visitor, and it keeps the site honest about what it is for.

FIVE / CONNECT

Available now, and on the way, kept apart.

The Connect page brings together Substack, the YouTube channel and her social profiles. Upcoming work has its own place in the story, with the distinction between available content and forthcoming projects kept clear.

A subscribe band repeats across the main pages so the newest writing is never more than one tap away.

SIX / RECOVERY AND LAUNCH

The part nobody sees, done anyway.

Behind the launch: legacy URLs mapped to the new pages, known spam URL patterns answered with a real 410 Gone so Google can drop them, the login locked to the edge network, feeds and comments switched off, scheduled backups verified, a sitemap submitted and analytics live on launch night.

If your own site has been through this, start with what to do in the first hour, then read how the rebuild, the redirects and the Google cleanup fit together.

ON A 390-PIXEL PHONE

The same identity in a hand.

Every page was checked at 320, 375, 768, 1024 and 1440 pixels: one H1, no sideways scroll, readable buttons, and a mobile menu that traps focus properly.
