Vendome Copper & Brass Works has been building stills in Louisville since 1903, and Shaun Wilson Designs has looked after its web presence for more than a decade. vendomecopper.com is the second website Shaun has designed and built for the company: a high-traffic, e-commerce-scale catalogue of equipment and capabilities, with an extensive request-a-quote system at its heart.

The website for the people who build the stills.
Vendome’s customers are distilleries, breweries, food and chemical processors, pharmaceutical and dairy operations, and the engineers who specify equipment for them. A company with this reputation does not hand its website to just anyone twice. When the first site Shaun built had done its years of service, Vendome came back for the second.
The second site is built like a store and works like a sales desk. Every equipment line has its own page, the catalogue draws serious traffic, and instead of a cart the site carries an extensive request-a-quote form that captures the detail Vendome’s engineers need before the first conversation.

The second Vendome website
Designed and built from the ground up by Shaun Wilson Designs, replacing the first site he built for the company: catalogue, capabilities, history, news and quote requests.
Equipment, line by line
Distillation, brewing, chemical, food and confectionery, and pharmaceutical and dairy equipment each have their own page, with stainless steel tank fabrication presented alongside.
An extensive request-a-quote system
A detailed, multi-part quote form that captures process, capacity, materials and timeline so an enquiry arrives ready for an engineer, and routes it to the right people.
Built for real traffic
An e-commerce-scale catalogue with the caching, image optimisation and server capacity to carry a high-traffic industrial audience without slowing down.
Ten-plus years of care
Updates, security, content changes and the platform underneath, handled continuously by the same person who built both sites.
Re-platformed in 2026
Moved onto Shaun Wilson Designs’ dedicated server: current PHP, server-side caching, Cloudflare Full (Strict), a third-party image proxy removed and the database cut from 448 MB to 314 MB. Same design, same content, nothing a visitor would notice except the speed.

Origin response after the 2026 move, from about one second
A century-old manufacturer, a decade-long client, a second site that performs.
Vendome has a website that matches its standing: a complete catalogue of what the company builds, a quote system that does real work for the sales team, and infrastructure run by the studio that built it. The 2026 move to the dedicated server took homepage response from roughly one second to 0.12 to 0.19 seconds for visitors and 0.14 seconds at the origin, measured before and after, with nothing on the page changed.
The speed is a footnote. The story is a manufacturer with this reputation trusting the same studio with its website twice, across more than ten years.
