Cru Bear is Shaun Wilson’s 3D printing and products business in Louisville. Its website had to do two jobs at once: win the large-format sculpture, prop and industrial work that pays, and keep the small jobs that keep the printers busy. Shaun Wilson Designs designed, built, photographed and hosts it.

Most 3D printing websites are a price list with a form. Cru Bear’s work ranges from a keychain to a life-size statue, and the enquiries that arrive range from a phone snapshot to a full CAD package. The site has to set expectations without turning anyone away: modeling is paid work, turnaround depends on the piece, and the best way to win the big jobs is to show the big jobs.
So the redesign leads with proof. Large-format sculpture and industrial prototypes get real case studies, the homepage says exactly what Cru Bear prints and for whom, and the copy filters out the tiny-image-to-full-prop requests before they cost anyone a week.

Dark redesign
A dark, editorial WordPress site built in Kadence with custom header and footer code, so the product photography carries the page.
Case-study pages
Large-format sculpture, trade-show cutaway models, prototypes and props presented as full project stories with the finished pieces photographed in the studio.
House animation system
A single scroll-reveal and parallax convention across the site, tuned so motion supports the work instead of competing with it, and respects reduced-motion settings.
Lead qualification in the copy
Clear language about modeling, materials and turnaround so the enquiries that arrive are the ones Cru Bear can actually print.

A 3D printing site that reads like the studio behind it.
The redesign gave Cru Bear a website that matches the work coming off the printers: dark, precise, photographed properly, and clear about what it does. It is also the proving ground for the animation, caching and image-handling conventions Shaun Wilson Designs now uses on client sites.
Because Shaun runs Cru Bear as well as building its website, every decision on the page has been tested against real enquiries and real print jobs.
