CAMPGROUND AND RV PARK WEBSITE DESIGN

Campground and RV park websites that help guests find their site.

A guest planning a lake weekend wants to see the place, understand the rates, find a site and ask for it. Your website should do all four on a phone in a truck. We build campground and RV park websites around that trip, with photography that sells the setting and a park map that actually works.

WHAT A PARK WEBSITE HAS TO DO

Six jobs, before it does anything clever.

Every campground and RV park website we build is organized around these six jobs. The design comes after.

01

Show the setting first

Large aerial and ground photography of the park, the water and the sites. A guest decides in the first screen whether this is their kind of place.

02

Answer the rig questions

Pad size, pull-through or back-in, 30 and 50 amp, water and sewer, length limits, pets, the gate. The practical facts, on one page, before anyone has to call.

03

Make rates and stays plain

Nightly, weekly, monthly, seasonal, yearly: what is included, what is billed separately, the deposit, and the lease to read before arrival.

04

Let guests find their site

A park map with every site selectable, search by number, amenities in focus, aerial and original views, and downloads for the drive.

05

Turn exploring into asking

A reservation inquiry that carries the site number in from the map and asks the dates, the rig and the length of stay, so the office can answer in one reply.

06

Stay honest year-round

Planned facilities marked as planned, availability described as what the office has marked, and nothing the site cannot keep true in February.

LAKESIDE OASIS RV PARK / ALBANY, KY

Fifty-one sites on Lake Cumberland, and a map you can use.

Lakeside Oasis, known as LORV Park, has 51 full-hookup concrete sites one mile from Safe Harbor Grider Hill Marina. The redesign gave the park a teal-and-orange identity, large photography, plain rates and an interactive map with every site selectable and a reservation inquiry that knows which one you picked.

THE PARK MAP, PROPERLY

Tap a site. See where it is. Ask for it.

The park’s reference drawing became a vector map with 51 selectable sites. Search by number, zoom and pan, bring the entrance or the trail into focus, switch to the aerial or the original drawing, download a JPG or PDF for the drive. Select site 540 and the reservation inquiry opens with 540 already in it.

We wrote up when a campground website needs an interactive map and when a PDF is the honest answer.

RATES, HONESTLY

One page, four kinds of stay, nothing hidden.

Nightly, monthly, seasonal and yearly on one page, with what every site includes, what utilities are billed separately, the refundable deposit, and both lease PDFs. A guest can read the terms before they call, and the office spends less time repeating them.

THE RESERVATION INQUIRY

Questions that fit the trip.

How can we help, how long, which dates, what are you bringing and how long is it, a preferred site if you have one, and whether a pet is coming. Overnight guests use a small group of sites and the form says the office may suggest another. Sending it asks the office to reply; it does not take payment or promise a site.

HOW A PARK WEBSITE COMES TOGETHER

Four steps from first call to launch.

01

Listen

Your sites, your seasons, how guests book today, what they ask on the phone, and what the current site gets in the way of. We map the pages and the inquiry around that.

02

Photograph and design

Aerial and ground photography of the park if you need it, a palette and type system that feel like the place, and a layout that puts the setting first.

03

Build the map and the pages

WordPress, fast on a phone, with the park map drawn from your site plan, the rates page, the galleries and the reservation inquiry.

04

Launch and measure

Search Console, sitemap, your Google Business Profile linked, and events for phone taps and inquiries so the first season tells you something.

CAMPGROUND WEBSITE QUESTIONS

What park owners ask before they hire us.

Can the site take reservations and payments?

It can, with a booking system that owns the calendar. Most of the parks we talk to are better served by a clear inquiry the office answers, and we say so when that is true. The choice comes first and the map and forms are built around it.

Do you draw the park map from our site plan?

Yes. We take your existing drawing or site plan and an aerial photograph, and redraw the map as a vector illustration with every site selectable.

Can you shoot the aerials?

Yes. Shaun Wilson Designs is also a licensed drone operator, and aerial photography of your park and its water can be part of the project.

We already have a website. Can you add just the map?

Usually. The Lakeside Oasis map lives on a normal WordPress page and does not depend on the theme.

Does a new website guarantee more bookings?

No. A clear site gives guests a better place to picture the park and ask for a site. Results also depend on demand, your reviews and how inquiries are answered.

Who hosts it, and who do I call?

We host it and keep it updated, and you call the person who built it.
