WEB DESIGN BARDSTOWN, KY

Web design for Bardstown, from a studio that already builds for bourbon country.

Shaun Wilson Designs is a Louisville web design and WordPress studio under an hour from Bardstown, and the businesses Bardstown is made of are already on the client list: a cooperage on the edge of town and a plumbing company in town, plus the Louisville still maker behind many of the bourbons on the shelf and a Louisville distillery brand I have run online for twelve years. One person designs it, builds it, hosts it and answers the phone afterwards.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Six reasons Bardstown businesses call me.

01

Visitors find the distilleries, not you

Bourbon tourists plan the whole trip from a phone before they arrive. If your restaurant, shop, inn or tour is not on that screen, the tour bus rolls past.

02

You are still Facebook-only

A Facebook page is not a website. Customers who search your name and find nothing you own assume you have closed.

03

The DIY builder ran out of road

Wix, Squarespace and GoDaddy get you to the edge of your own ambition and stop. The next step is a real build. Here is how leaving GoDaddy’s website builder works.

04

You need to sell, not just show

Tour bookings, tastings, a shop that ships, a quote form that qualifies leads. The features a template cannot bolt on.

05

It looks like every other bourbon business

Barrels and amber glow on a template make every distillery, bar and gift shop look the same. Your site should look like your place.

06

You want one person to call

Not a ticket queue. The person who designed it, built it and hosts it, under an hour up the road.

BOURBON COUNTRY IS ALREADY ON THE CLIENT LIST

I build for the businesses Bardstown is made of.

A cooperage in Bardstown, the Louisville still maker whose copper stands in distilleries across Kentucky, a downtown Louisville distillery brand I have run since 2014, and a Bardstown plumbing company. If your business touches bourbon, tourism, the trades or Main Street, the proof is below, and every site was designed, built and hosted by the same person.

BOURBON COUNTRY WORK, UP CLOSE

Five bourbon-country businesses, and what their websites do now.

Every site below is live today. Two Bardstown companies, a cooperage and a plumber, plus a century-old still maker, a downtown Louisville distillery and a maker who turns retired barrels into furniture, each built to do one job well, and doing it.

LEGACY COOPERAGES / BARDSTOWN, KY

A Bardstown cooperage, built around the barrel quote.

Legacy Cooperages builds bourbon barrels in Bardstown. I built the brand and the website, and shot nearly every photograph on it, on the cooperage floor and from the air, because a distillery choosing the wood its whiskey will live in wants to see the real operation, not stock. Every page leads back to a barrel quote request.

VENDOME COPPER AND BRASS WORKS / LOUISVILLE SINCE 1903

The copper behind Kentucky bourbon, finally shown properly.

Vendome Copper & Brass Works has made stills in Louisville since 1903, for many of the bourbons on Bardstown’s shelves. Its second website from me is built like a store and works like a sales desk: every equipment line has its own page and an extensive request-a-quote system captures what the engineers need before the first call.

I have looked after Vendome’s web presence for more than a decade. That is what a long relationship with a manufacturer looks like.

KENTUCKY PEERLESS DISTILLING / DOWNTOWN LOUISVILLE

A distillery’s front door, twelve years and counting.

Kentucky Peerless has not had one website from me, it has had a dozen years of them: tour and tasting bookings, a whiskey mega menu, register-to-website inventory sync and the front-desk software the staff run on every tour day.

If you run tours or tastings in Bardstown, this is the playbook, already proven.

ALLIED PLUMBING / BARDSTOWN, KY

A Bardstown plumber, with Bardstown on every page.

Allied Plumbing is an owner-run plumbing company based in Bardstown. Its website went live in September 2026: eight service pages that start from the customer’s problem, a request form that asks the right follow-up questions, a careers application, and a real Elizabethtown page for the area the company is growing into. The courthouse square, the water tower and the North Third Street corridor on the site were photographed from the air by me.

THE POINT OF ALL OF IT

Built for bourbon country. Hosted in Louisville.

Designed for the way Bardstown does business, hosted on my own dedicated server, and looked after by the person who built it. No ticket queues, no offshore hand-offs, no mystery about who to call.

BUILT AND RUNNING

What the work looks like on a desk, in a hand and on a phone.

Current desktop, detail and phone views of live bourbon-country sites. Nothing redrawn, nothing staged. All still have me handling hosting and updates.

HOW A NEW SITE COMES TOGETHER

Four steps from first call to first lead.

01

Listen

A real conversation about what the business needs the website to do, at your place in Bardstown or over the phone.

02

Design

A modern, on-brand look built around your customers and your season, reviewed with you before anything is built.

03

Build & shoot

Clean, fast, secure WordPress on my own server, with your shop, floor or tasting room photographed by me.

04

Launch & Care

Search setup, analytics and a launch checklist, then hosting and updates from the person who built it.

BARDSTOWN WEB DESIGN QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

What Bardstown businesses ask before they hire a web designer.

Do you actually work in Bardstown?

Yes. Legacy Cooperages in Bardstown is one of mine, brand and website, and Louisville is under an hour away, so meeting at your shop, distillery or office is normal, not a special trip. So is Allied Plumbing, a Bardstown plumbing company whose website launched in September 2026.

How much does a website cost in Bardstown?

Scoped flat after a conversation about what the site has to do, so you have a clear number before any work starts. A Main Street shop site, a tour booking system and an online store are priced very differently, and I will tell you which one you actually need.

Can the site take tour and tasting bookings?

Yes. Kentucky Peerless sells out distillery tours through the booking system I run, with a front-desk check-in board behind it. The same system fits a Bardstown tour, tasting room or event venue.

Can you photograph the distillery, shop or floor?

Yes. Nearly every photograph on the Legacy Cooperages site was shot by me on the cooperage floor and from the air. Bourbon country photographs well, and stock photos of barrels fool nobody here.

Will people find it on Google?

It is built to be found: clean structure, fast pages, proper titles and schema, and search setup at launch. Bardstown has two audiences searching at once: visitors planning a bourbon trip from somewhere else, and people in Nelson County looking for a plumber, a lunch spot or a lawyer. The site is planned around whichever one you serve, which is why the Allied Plumbing site names Bardstown as home on every page that matters. I am honest about timelines rather than promising page one.

Who hosts it, and who do I call?

I host it on my own dedicated server behind Cloudflare, and you call the person who built it. Hosting, updates and support are one relationship, not three.
