Distillery website design from someone who runs a distillery’s digital life.
I handled creative marketing for Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co., running its website, tour bookings, store and photography from the inside. I design and build distillery and spirits brand websites that sell tours, ship bottles where the law allows, and look the way the whiskey tastes.

Websites I have built for Kentucky businesses
What distillery website design actually has to cover.
A distillery website works harder than most. It tells the story to bourbon fans planning a trip to Kentucky. It sells tours and tastings that sell out. It sells bottles through the channels the law allows. It has to agree with the register in the gift shop, answer trade buyers and press, and look as considered as the label on the bottle.
Many distillery websites stop at the story pages. The tours run on a separate booking service, the store lives somewhere else, and nobody owns how it all fits together. I build the brand site and the systems behind it as one job, because at Kentucky Peerless that is exactly the job IÂ do.
The brand, the bookings, the bottles and the back office.
A site that looks like the whiskey
Story, lineup, visit and news pages designed to the brand, with a whiskey menu that makes the range easy to explore on a phone or a desk.
Tour and tasting bookings
Live calendars, ticket types, capacity and payment on your own site, in a guided booking flow, with a staff override for walk-ins and phone reservations.
Check-in and guest books
A tablet check-in board for tour days and a supervised guest book kiosk that saves every signup to the site first and the mailing list second.
A compliant spirits store
Age checks, state and dry-area shipping rules, per-product bottle limits and separate pickup, direct and partner channels, built to your compliance plan. In Kentucky the shipping limits come from KRS 243.028, and the Kentucky ABC publishes its direct shipper license list and a wet or dry address check.
Gift shop and website, one count
A sync between your point-of-sale register and the website store, so merchandise that sells out at the counter stops selling online.
Photography and aerials
Bottles, barrels, cocktails, the still house and the tasting room, shot by the person who builds the site. I am an FAA Part 107 licensed drone pilot for the rickhouse from above.
Kentucky Peerless: a distillery’s entire digital life, under one roof.
I rebuilt kentuckypeerless.com in the Peerless gold palette with a whiskey mega menu, a hero film, the bottle lineup and a luxury booking experience. Every tour and tasting is a WooCommerce Bookings product with its own guided two-step flow, and a staff override lets approved managers book walk-ins and phone reservations without touching the public flow.
Around it sit the systems I wrote: an hourly Clover inventory sync for the gift shop, a tablet guest check-in board for tour days and a supervised iPad guest book at the door. The bottle, barrel, cocktail and tasting room photography across the brand is mine, shot over more than a decade.
Shop Peerless sells bourbon direct to consumers.
Shop Peerless offers distillery pickup, direct shipping only where it is legal, and partner shipping through a licensed retailer, without letting a bottle fall into the wrong channel. Shipping is gated by state and routed through a compliance integration, bottle limits are enforced in the cart, and inventory follows the distillery’s Clover register.
The store pays through Clover eCommerce with fraud screening in front of checkout, and the product photography is mine.
The cooperage, the still maker and the barrel craftsman too.
Distilling runs on a supply chain, and I have built websites up and down it.
Legacy Cooperages
Brand and website for a cooperage building bourbon barrels, organized around one job: getting a barrel quote to the right person. Nearly every photo is mine, from the floor and from the air.
Vendome Copper & Brass Works
The still maker’s second website with me, an equipment catalog with an extensive request-a-quote system, after more than ten years of looking after its web presence.
Bourbon Barrel Artisan
A WooCommerce store for handcrafted pieces made from retired bourbon barrels, simple enough for the maker to run between builds.
From the still house to the checkout.
Learn the operation
The brand, the tour schedule, the gift shop, the bottles you can sell and your compliance plan, before any design.
Shoot the place
Bottles, barrels, people and the grounds from above, so the site shows your distillery instead of stock photos of someone else’s.
Build the systems
Bookings, store, register sync and front desk tools, tested on a private copy with real tours and real orders.
Run it with you
Release days, new expressions, seasonal tours and updates, handled by the person who built it and knows the business.
What I will tell you before you hire me.
A template will not hold a distillery
Bookings, a store, a register and shipping rules all have to agree. A theme can make the story pages look good; it will not make those systems work together.
Your compliance plan leads
Where and how you ship is decided by your counsel or compliance service, and carriers add terms of their own: UPS ships spirits only for licensed shippers with a signed UPS agreement. I build the store to their rules and flag anything that looks off.
Not every distillery needs a store
If your bottles move through distributors and the gift shop, a great tour booking flow and a clear where-to-buy page may earn more than a store you have to staff.
Distillery Website Questions
How much does distillery website design cost?
It depends on what the site has to run: story pages alone, or tour bookings, a bottle store, a register sync and front desk tools as well. I quote from a short written scope after one conversation, so the number matches the systems you actually need.
Can my distillery sell bottles on its website?
Often yes, inside limits. Kentucky licenses direct shipping to consumers in the state, and many other states do not accept spirits shipments to consumers. I wrote a plain-English guide to the law, and your compliance plan sets the final rules.
Can you build tour and tasting bookings on my own site?
Yes. Kentucky Peerless sells every tour and tasting through WooCommerce Bookings on its own website, with a guided booking flow, a staff override for walk-ins and a tablet check-in board for tour day.
Will you photograph my distillery?
Yes. I shoot the bottles, barrels, cocktails, people and grounds for the sites I build, and I fly the drone myself as an FAA Part 107 licensed pilot.
Do you work with distilleries outside Louisville?
Yes. I am based in Louisville and work with distilleries and spirits businesses across Kentucky, from Bardstown to Lexington, and with brands anywhere in the United States.
Do you work with suppliers and makers in the bourbon industry?
Yes. Legacy Cooperages builds barrels, Vendome Copper & Brass Works builds stills, and Bourbon Barrel Artisan sells barrel craft. Each needed a different kind of website, and each is live.
Tell me about your distillery.
The brand, the tours, the bottles and what your current site gets wrong. I will tell you what a site that runs all of it would take, from the person who would build it.

What happens next
- 01I reply, usually the same day. Every message comes straight to me, not a ticket queue.
- 02A short call. What the site needs to do, who it is for, and what has not worked before.
- 03A written scope and flat quote. Before any work starts, with hosting and ongoing care listed separately.
