One person, the right kit, footage you own
Most Louisville businesses that need an interview on camera do not need a production company. They need somebody who can light a person properly, record clean audio, frame a shot that does not look like a webcam, and leave them with files they can use.
That is the whole service. I arrive, set up, shoot your interviews, and hand over the footage. If your marketing team or agency already has an editor, they get organised, labelled clips ready to cut. If you would rather have a finished piece back, that is available too, but it is a separate decision rather than a bundled assumption.
Twenty-five years behind cameras, starting in broadcast television, and I am an FAA-Licensed remote pilot, so aerial coverage can be added to the same visit without booking a second vendor.

The three things that make an interview look professional
Light on the subject
Two or three point lighting so your subject looks like themselves rather than like a hostage video. This is the single biggest difference between an interview that gets used and one that quietly does not.
Audio that is actually recorded
A lavalier or shotgun microphone into a dedicated recorder, not the camera’s built in mic. Viewers forgive imperfect pictures. They stop watching bad sound within seconds.
A frame with depth
Shot on a Sony a7R series body with fast glass, so your subject separates from the background instead of being flattened against a wall. Two camera angles where the room allows it.

Common reasons people call
- Client testimonials to run on a website or in a pitch, filmed at the client’s own premises.
- Leadership and founder interviews for an about page, a recruitment push, or an investor update.
- Recruiting and culture video, usually a handful of staff interviews shot in one visit.
- Conference and event interviews, filmed in a quiet room off the main floor.
- Expert or explainer content, where somebody who knows the subject talks to camera and it needs to look credible.
- B-roll to go with it, covering the space, the work, and the people, so an editor is not stuck cutting between two talking heads.
HOW A HALF DAY RUNS
Arrive, light, shoot, hand over
Before the day
A short conversation about who is on camera, how many, where, and what the footage is for. If you have questions written, send them. If not, that is a normal thing to work out together.
Setup
Thirty to forty minutes. The main variables are windows and air conditioning noise, which is why choosing the room matters more than most people expect.
Shooting
A first interview usually takes twenty to thirty minutes of recording for two or three minutes of usable answer, and people settle after the first couple of questions.
Hand over
Footage is checked on site before I pack up. Files are delivered named and organised, at full quality, and they are yours to use.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Before you book
Do you edit, or just shoot?
Either. Plenty of clients only want the raw footage handed over, and that is a legitimate way to buy this. A finished cut is available as a separate piece of work. Say which you want up front and it changes how the day is shot.
Can you film at our office, or do we need a studio?
Your office is almost always better. It looks like you, it is free, and people are more relaxed in their own building. What matters is picking a room with controllable light and quiet air handling.
How many people can you interview in one visit?
Comfortably three to five in a half day if they are ready and on schedule. More than that is a full day, mostly because of resets between subjects rather than the shooting itself.
Do you bring a teleprompter?
It can be arranged, but for interviews it is usually the wrong tool. Answers to questions sound like a person; read scripts sound like a read script. For scripted pieces to camera, that is a different setup and worth discussing.
Can you add drone footage?
Yes, on the same visit. That is the advantage of one licensed operator doing both. See aerial videography.
